Goggles I made for my Halloween costume. Some screw here and there, gorilla glue as well. Most parts that look like they can move and spin do. Feel free to use it as a stock as well because, man, that is a creepy smile.

Yeah, I'm gonna post them on the board accompanied by a Halloween thread once I get the pictures of me in the full outfit.

DUDE, those are AWESOME.

What did you dismantle for the parts? I'm curious. I've been working on soldering a pair myself with the lenses from my old, broken prescription glasses, but they're looking pretty boring thus far. (Gorilla Glue might be a better idea then solder, too, actually...)

u know, my mate would love to buy those from you!!!

Well, I used clock parts and also some typewriter parts. And the lens are the largest end of old opera glasses, as is the frame holding most of it together.

I have a soldering iron myself, but chose Gorilla glue because it's easier to fit between tiny cracks and whatnot, so I could add smaller more detailed things, you just gotta make sure to keep the glue hidden (as it puffs up into a large white foam), or scrap off any showing glue.

The thing at the top is actually an individual clock, it's a tiny old wrist watch, with the back exposed and facing forward. The other clock I took apart was a folding desk clock about 4x4 inches. And the typewriter was an ancient Royal portable thing, which are hard as all hell to take apart without various different kinds of flathead screw drivers and the occasional wrench.

As a disclaimer, be careful when taking apart clocks, parts will fly out at you, and possibly sparks. The typewriter is also a challenge to keep your fingers intact.
